Philip Wolff

Actor, Director, Writer

Philip Wolff is an actor, writer and director. He is Senior Lecturer in Screen Acting at Leeds Conservatoire where he facilitates and explores approaches to screen acting that afford actors the greatest degree of authentic expression within the technical framework of the film-making medium.

In addition to various writing projects currently in development, Philip is the author of an optioned screenplay and has recently received recognition both as an actor in independent film and as a director in theatre.

Inspired by his acting experiences whilst collaborating with the theatre, television, and short story writer Robert Shearman, Philip went on to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Despite working as a professional actor over a number of years, it wasn’t until Philip resumed his training under Tom Radcliffe at The Actors Temple that he began to fully appreciate the qualities that underpin both compelling screen writing and screen acting.
